Frequency Counter
In the Setup/Peripheral menu, a GPIO pin can be selected for frequency measurement. With FALLING setting, it counts the falling edges, with RISING it counts the rising edges. The upper limit is approximately 50kHz. For example, by connecting a HALL sensor, the rotational speed of a motor can be measured using the magnet on the shaft.
FREQ(HZ)@
Sends the measured frequency in Hz.
FREQ(RPM)@
Sends the measured rotational speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).
FREQ(US)@
Sends the measured period time in μs.
Examples
A 500Hz frequency appears on pin D2, which can be measured with a jumper wire.
